But I just renewed my subscription to one of my favorite magazines. I didn’t realize that my subscription ended with the June issue (so that means it ended in May). I can’t wait to start getting more of this in the mail.

Well technically the second piece of the puzzle. I’ll show you the first piece at another time.
We are spontaneous people, and I didn’t really care if we were leaving on vacation early tomorrow morning. Today, I wanted to spend the day out rather than being cooped in.
We picked up the ‘second’ piece of our baby room’s puzzle. And, I’m so excited because DH ended up saying okay to having a chandelier in baby’s room. Trust me, it really isn’t super bougie, but it’s so cute. We picked it up at IKEA, and for all you IKEA fans, you know that this store is affordable.
I’m so excited. I can’t wait till we officially start organizing the baby’s room, and putting things together.
Hard to distinguish my preference of vintage items v modern/sleek items.
I can’t help but love these vintage pieces of furniture. I promised myself before summer ends, my husband and I will make a trip out to the city/Brooklyn to check out vintage flea markets and vintage shops for potential missing pieces of furniture that we need to fill in the gaps in our home.
Wish I had room for these items, though.
But what we need in our home is a ‘coffee table’. I’d love to have a vintage trunk. Maybe not Louis Vuitton per se, but like I said in a previous entry, I can dream right? 🙂
You will probably be able to tell what sex our baby will be after viewing what my nursery ideas are.
Ideally I’d love to have a chandelier in the baby’s room, but the husband doesn’t want anything dangling from the ceiling. Boo! A girl can dream, can’t she?
Here are some pictures that are going to inspire me to eventually decorate the baby’s nursery.
I love reading… when I have time. Isn’t that the case with everyone these days? Life is so busy, but when I have time to take a breather, I do love to read.
I love fashion magazines, and am known to let them stack up to at least a foot high before I start reading them. Below is a quick snapshot of the magazines I read/subscribe to. Not a whole lot, but when 2-3 months stack up they stack pretty high.
Anyone else into reading magazines, but let it stack high? I feel like I’m not alone on this one. hehe.
I’ve been a tad bit negligent of my blog because things have been busy on the home front.
As of today, we’ve become home owners! We are very excited to own our very first home. So from here on in for the next few months, we will be busy with changing stuff around the house, painting, etc.
Who knows, my very first picture blog may be taken from our new home. I can’t wait to move out of our apartment, and move into our new home.
More house related posts to come.
Many make their bedrooms as their sanctuary. The place they go to get away from it all. As I was laying in bed this afternoon before I took a nice nap, I thought of what I could do to make our bedroom more of a sanctuary. Right now, our bed is our temporary sanctuary as we take time to finish decorating it.
Here are pictures of beautiful bedroom sanctuaries.
What room in your home is your sanctuary?
